🧼 Complete Care Guide: How to Wash Your Binder

🧼 1. Washing: Gentleness above all

The salt from perspiration and body oils can damage the fabric's elasticity if not cleaned regularly. Frequent washing prolongs the life of your fibers.

🧤 Hand wash (Recommended)

Immerse your binder in lukewarm water (max 30°C) with a mild soap. Gently massage it without ever twisting it violently.

🧺 Machine washable

Use a delicate cycle at 30°C. Essestial : uses a protective net to prevent the fibers from stretching.

To be banned: Never use bleach or fabric softener. These chemicals break down the compressive components of the fabric.

💨 2. Drying: The enemy is heat

Extreme heat is the fastest way to render a binder ineffective by breaking down the elastane fibers. Improper drying can irreversibly stretch the fabric.

🧺 Dry flat (Ideal)

Lay your binder flat on a towel or drying rack. This prevents the weight of the water from pulling on the straps and distorting the garment's shape.

☁️ In the open air and in the shade

Choose a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct exposure to the blazing sun, as UV rays can weaken synthetic fibers and fade colors over time.

🚫

STRICTLY PROHIBITED: Never put your binder on dryer and do not use an iron. The heat would melt or crack the elastic components.

✨ 3. Tips: Making the elasticity last

Even with perfect washing, a binder is subjected to harsh conditions. These small daily habits will make the difference between a binder that lasts 4 months and one that lasts 1 year.

🔄 Rotation (Rest)

If you can, alternate between two binders. Letting the elastic fibers "rest" for 24 hours after wearing them allows the fabric to return to its original shape and prevents it from stretching prematurely.

🧗 Putting it on from the bottom

For styles without a zipper, try putting them on through the legs (like pants) and pulling them up. This avoids putting too much strain on the shoulder seams and protects the neckline.

💡 Good to know: A binder naturally loses its compression after 6 to 12 months of daily use. If you feel it's becoming too loose, it's time to replace it to ensure your comfort and results.
